DJ TRAVIS KELL: Resident

DJ TRAVIS KEL

Hailing originally from the Toronto area, Travis was surrounded by a rich all ages dance scene. Due to it's proximity to Detroit and Chicago, artists such as Ritchie Hawtin, Terry Mullan, DJ Sneak, Mark Farina and Derrick May frequently blessed Toronto with their musical blends. Every weekend would play host to massive warehouse parties offering a plethora of styles, ranging from the soulful feel of Chicago to the slightly industrial and techno sounds of Detroit . A born dancer with rhythm in his bones, Travis took full advantage of this wonderful scene.

New Years 2003 saw Travis headlining Dirty Havana, a Cuban/Latin infused party which was an excellent show and in March 2004 International DJ Magazine (IDJ) chose him as runner up in their monthly mixed tape competition.

Travis toured Canada in the summer of 2004 playing gigs in Vancouver , Calgary , Toronto and Montreal . This was a great summer traveling and most importantly springing his old records out of storage to bring back to the UK …

In 2005 Travis was invited back to Russia to play alongside Roman Pushkin and Tim Kryctov for various parties in St Petersburg and Moscow . He also played several venues across London and the South West.

At 31 years of age Travis is now just entering into his musical prime. He is a passionate performer, impeccable mixer and down to earth guy who is always up for the opportunity to grace the decks with his funky presence… We are please to have him on board!
